status lamp

in our house a computer is keeping track of temperatures, controlling lights etc. the general state of the house is summed up as green, yellow or red - everything ok, observe/warning or alarm, and this state is shown on a webpage. a webpage is ok, but a traffic light inspired lamp in the living room is better.

the computer as a remote control

the switches from nexa are controlled from the computer via a rfxcom transceiver.
